About SPACE

Letter from Founder CEO, Dr. Bao Hoang

In the last several years, the relationship between the United States (the U.S.) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been strengthened and closer than ever before. In 2023, the U.S.’s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the region was approximately $500 B, surpassing its FDI in other countries and regions worldwide. The trade between the U.S. and ASEAN was around $550 B. In addition, the CHIPS and Science Act (2022) chose three ASEAN’s countries including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam to be the U.S.’s partners in assisting the country’s effort in diversifying the global semiconductor value chain.
In the opposite direction, an increasing number of firms from ASEAN countries have been investing in the U.S. More students from this region are attending American universities. The ASEAN entrepreneurs have proved their ingenuities, and some have reached the frontier of new technologies. This is a rich source of innovation the U.S. has tapped into to boost its innovation ecosystem. These activities have created 625 thousand jobs in the U.S. and 1 million jobs throughout Southeast Asia, boosting prosperity and economic growth for both sides.

SPACE ASEAN is committed to strengthening the relationship between the U.S. and Southeast Asia region, focusing on three pillars: education, innovation, and sustainability. We believe that sustainability cannot be achieved without innovation and that in turn cannot be achieved without education. First, our internationally recognized experts are committed to assisting universities in ASEAN in innovating their curriculum, following educational models in the U.S. Second, our team of experts will advise ASEAN countries and organizations on how to develop innovation ecosystems at various levels including university/firm, city/province, and country. Indeed, innovation cannot be actualized without a robust ecosystem in which it is born and nurtured. Third, our experts are willing to help countries and organizations in the region achieve their sustainable development goals. Specifically, we provide consultancies on how firms can improve their Environmental Social Governance (ESG) performance, achieve decarbonization goals, and mitigate climate-related risks.

We believe that our noble initiative will be greatly beneficial for 1 billion people in both the U.S. and ASEAN. The quality education models, robust innovation ecosystems, and achievable sustainable developments in the Southeast Asia region will create unlimited resources that in turn can help to boost social well-being, economic prosperity, and sustainable development in the U.S.

Our Vision

SPACE strives to be the market leader in providing consultancies on education, innovation, and sustainability, contributing to increasingly close cooperation between the U.S. and Southeast Asia.

Our Mission

SPACE will provide countries and organizations in the Southeast Asia region with the most effective and innovative strategies that can help them achieve a quality higher education, robust innovation ecosystems, and achievable sustainable development. These accomplishments will then boost the prosperity of the U.S., resulting in a win-win situation for both sides.
